Description

Elegant Blue Cheese Stuffed Pears are the kind of appetizer that feels fancy without being fussy. Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm pears
  • ½ cup (75 g) blue cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) walnuts, toasted and chopped
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) honey
  • Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Slice pears in half lengthwise. Use a spoon or melon baller to scoop out a small cavity from the center.

  • In a small bowl, mix the blue cheese and toasted walnuts.

  • Fill each pear half with the cheese mixture.

  • Place pears on the baking sheet and drizzle with honey.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, until pears are tender and the cheese is slightly melted.

 

  • Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and serve warm.

Notes

  • Choose pears that are ripe but still firm so they hold their shape when baked.

  • Swap walnuts with pecans or almonds if you prefer.

  • A drizzle of balsamic glaze or maple syrup makes a delicious twist.

 

  • These are best served warm right out of the oven but can be reheated gently if needed.
