Description
Elegant Blue Cheese Stuffed Pears are the kind of appetizer that feels fancy without being fussy. Juicy pears, creamy blue cheese, crunchy walnuts, and a drizzle of honey come together in just 25 minutes. Perfect for dinner parties, holiday spreads, or when you want a quick dish that looks effortlessly gourmet.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe but firm pears
- ½ cup (75 g) blue cheese, crumbled
- 2 tbsp (30 g) walnuts, toasted and chopped
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) honey
- Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Slice pears in half lengthwise. Use a spoon or melon baller to scoop out a small cavity from the center.
In a small bowl, mix the blue cheese and toasted walnuts.
Fill each pear half with the cheese mixture.
Place pears on the baking sheet and drizzle with honey.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until pears are tender and the cheese is slightly melted.
Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and serve warm.
Notes
Choose pears that are ripe but still firm so they hold their shape when baked.
Swap walnuts with pecans or almonds if you prefer.
A drizzle of balsamic glaze or maple syrup makes a delicious twist.
These are best served warm right out of the oven but can be reheated gently if needed.
