Ingredients
- For the Chicken:
- 1 lb (450g) chicken breasts or thighs, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- For the Tzatziki Sauce:
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- ½ cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- For the Wraps:
- 4 pita breads or flatbreads
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Cook the chicken: Toss chicken strips with olive oil, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken 8–10 minutes until golden and fully cooked.
Prepare tzatziki sauce: In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Assemble wraps: Warm pita breads. Fill each with chicken, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and crumbled feta. Add a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
Garnish & serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Drain cucumber well to prevent watery tzatziki.
Chicken thighs yield juicier meat; breasts are leaner.
Add extra spices or a dash of harissa for heat.
Wraps are best eaten immediately; avoid storing fully assembled to prevent sogginess.
Can be made ahead: cook chicken and tzatziki separately and assemble before serving.
