Greek Chicken Wraps with Garlic Yogurt Sauce are a vibrant, flavor-packed Mediterranean meal that’s perfect for weeknight dinners, lunchboxes, or casual gatherings. Tender chicken strips marinated in garlic, oregano, paprika, and cumin are paired with fresh cucumber, cherry tomatoes, crumbled feta, and a creamy, tangy garlic yogurt sauce, all wrapped in warm pita bread. Ingredients
- For the Chicken:
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- For the Wraps:
- 4 pita breads or flatbreads
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, diced
- ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- For Garlic Yogurt Sauce:
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
Instructions
In a bowl, combine chicken strips with olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly and marinate for at least 20 minutes.
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken strips until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes.
While chicken cooks, whisk together Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to make the garlic yogurt sauce.
Warm pita breads. Layer chicken, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and feta on each pita.
Drizzle generously with garlic yogurt sauce and garnish with chopped parsley.
Fold or roll the wraps and serve immediately.
Notes
Marinate chicken longer for more flavor.
Assemble wraps just before serving to avoid soggy pita.
Swap pita for whole wheat wraps or lettuce leaves for a low-carb option.
