Description
Juicy Greek Chicken Souvlaki with Maple Garlic Glaze—tender, herby chicken grilled to perfection and brushed with a sweet, garlicky maple glaze for the most irresistible flavor combo. Perfect with pita or rice for a Mediterranean-inspired meal that shines with every bite.
Ingredients
500g chicken breast or thighs, cut into cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt & black pepper, to taste
Maple Garlic Glaze:
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Mix maple syrup, olive oil, garlic, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice in a small bowl to make the glaze.
3. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
4. Grill or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway through.
5. Brush the maple garlic glaze over the chicken during the last few minutes of cooking for a sticky, caramelized finish.
6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with pita bread or rice.
Notes
You can use either chicken breast or thighs—thighs stay extra juicy on the grill.
For added flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight.
Serve with tzatziki, lemon wedges, or a simple Greek salad for a complete meal.
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20–30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
