Description
Crispy Chili Honey Halloumi Bites are golden, crunchy cubes of halloumi drizzled with warm honey and a kick of chili flakes. The outside is perfectly crisp while the inside stays chewy and rich. They’re quick to make, absolutely addictive, and the kind of snack that disappears from the plate before you know it.
Ingredients
- 250 g halloumi cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
-
Pat the halloumi cubes dry with paper towels and toss lightly in flour.
-
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry halloumi cubes until golden and crispy on all sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.
-
In a small saucepan, gently warm honey with chili flakes (don’t boil).
-
Drizzle the chili honey over the crispy halloumi bites.
-
Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
-
Keep halloumi cold before cutting—it holds shape better.
-
Don’t overcrowd the pan, fry in batches if needed.
-
Serve right away—halloumi firms up as it cools.
-
Swap honey for maple syrup for a vegan-friendly option.
